US History 2018-19

August 17

Friday (Polsky)
  1. Collect Syllabus
  2. Pre-quiz for Historical Documents. When finished, move on to the 6Cs Activity.
  3. The 6Cs of future success.  1. Communication, 2. Creativity, 3. Critical Thinking, 4. Collaboration, 5. Curiosity, 6. Compassion
  4. Activity: First, list the 6Cs down one side of a page in your notebook down. Second, next to each 6C write what that 6C looks like to you, in your opinion. Third, select two of the 6Cs you think you are really good at and provide an example of you excelling in the two 6Cs you chose.
HW: Locke and Life, Liberty, and Property: Read only the first quote here from John Locke's Treatise. What does he say about equality and freedom here? Cite specific examples to support your answer. Then, argue in your own written words if equality and freedom can exist apart from each other. Can you be free but not equal? Can you be equal but not free? Write this in your notebook and bring it to share on Monday.  Write in complete sentences.
HW: We need to jazz up Mr. Milo's room. Take one of the 6Cs and design something small that represents that word. 1. Communication, 2. Creativity, 3. Critical Thinking, 4. Collaboration, 5. Curiosity, 6. Compassion
HW: Documents of the United States of America. Watch the video and answer questions. You will be asked to create an Edmodo or Edpuzzle account. You can do so by using your school email. You might also need a class code, which it should provide for you.
