Don't Deflect, Accept illustrates a series of funny, odd, typical, frustrating, and downright ridiculous yet common exchanges between high school students and their teacher.
In a moment of disbelief, I drew my first cartoon on the board during class in order to highlight for students what I saw as them working extremely hard to avoid responsibility. The students laughed and agreed, encouraging me to draw more cartoons of students deflecting responsibility in school.
The chalk drawings became just another way I could communicate with students, while also poking fun.
I've collected the best drawings into an ebook for you. Each page includes the original chalk drawing photo along with a short analysis of the deflection.
